After 9/11, the radical environmental movement was labeled the number one domestic terror threat in the U.S. But within 10 years the movement had largely gone silent—why? Given the threat from climate change, why haven't we seen the re-emergence of more radical tactics from activists? Using new evidence from surveys, data on sabotage actions, and interviews with nearly 100 activists, this talk will help us understand what happened to the radical environmental movement and what the future holds.
