April 25, 2019 | Kerwin Hall
Thank you for applying to participate in the 10th annual School of Public Affairs Undergraduate Research Symposium, which will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2018. Please complete the registration form by Friday March 2, 2018.
Please be aware that the symposium uses the term “research” to include creative and performance work as well as formal research. The symposium is open to all levels of undergraduate students, from freshmen to seniors. To enter, you only need to be a student at American University who has a major in the School of Public Affairs or who is enrolled in a course in the School of Public Affairs. Students from CAS, KSB, SIS, and SOC are welcome to present their work if it was done for an SPA course.
Entries will be acknowledged via your AU e-mail upon submission. We expect many students to participate in this year’s symposium. Note that applications submitted without a project description will not be considered for the symposium. Your project will be accepted or denied based on the project’s description.
Poster Presentations will be grouped together as one session regardless of topic. Paper presentations will be grouped together into sessions of three to five students each based on topic. If you worked with a group of students, you only need to submit one proposal for your entire group.
