The Sine Institute of Politics & Policy welcomes Sine Institute "250+ at American" Fellow Emmy-Nominated Political and Voting Rights Activist;  Voto Latino CEO and Co-Founder, and Sine Institute 250+at American Fellow María Teresa Kumar,  to American University for an engaging discussion featuring U.S. Congressman Joaquin Castro (D-TX) that will celebrate the legacy, influence, and evolving leadership of Latino communities in shaping American democracy.

Tracing the historical struggles and triumphs that built a foundation for civic Latino participation, the discussion will highlight how Latino voices continue to transform the nation’s political landscape.
